Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation 2017 Grants Available
The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation, is now accepting grant applications. These grants are available to 501c3 organizations serving the greater Danbury, Stamford and Waterbury areas in support of affordable housing, education, community services and economic development, health and human services and arts and culture.
Savings Bank of Danbury’s strong commitment to the communities it serves has been a priority for over 167 years.
“Last year, the Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation proudly awarded $169,500 to 61 non-profit agencies in the region. Established in 2004, the Foundation continues its long history of supporting organizations that are vital to the communities we serve,” stated Martin Morgado, Savings Bank of Danbury’s President and CEO. “The mission of the Foundation is to strengthen our communities by awarding grants to organizations vital to the well-being, growth and prosperity of the cities and towns in our region.”
Foundation grants are administered by a committee consisting of Savings Bank of Danbury Corporators, Directors and Officers.
In 2016, a variety of grants were awarded to agencies such as Salvation Army, Ann’s Place, Golden Opportunities, Literacy Volunteers, Family and Children’s Aid and AmeriCares.
